About the book
Divergent is a compelling story about a teenager named Tris who lives in a futuristic version of Chicago. In her world there are five factions, Erudite, Amity, Candor, Abnegation, and Dauntless. Each faction has its own traits. Tris must decide if she wants to stay with her family or venture to another faction.

Veronica Roth and the making of divergent
Veronica Roth grew up in a small Chicago suburb. As early as 12 she began writing short stories for herself. Her dream came true when she attended the Northwestern University and majored in creative writing. When she isn't writing the third book in the Divergent trilogy she is eating cereal and browsing through Wikipedia.Since she loved to write fiction stories, she decided to write a story about a Utopian version of Chicago. She chose Chicago because she had originated there. With a lot of hard work and time she finished writing the fantastic novel. Veronica Roth was just 22 when she had Divergent published. It was in April 2011 when Divergent first hit the bookstores, it gained national recognition however, from making a New York Bestsellers spot at #1. Now more and more people knew about the book. With more and more fans emerging Veronica knew she had to write a second book and more importantly she really wanted to herself. Insurgent, the second book in the series, was another smash hit and Roth is now in the process of writing the third and FINAL book in the trilogy. Allegiant, the name of the third book, is set to come out in October of 2013.
